Anxiety, Perfectionism, or Chronic Burnout

Childhood Trauma, Emotional Abuse or Being a First Responder

A place to slow things down.

Hi, I’m Jess! I’m a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist offering down-to-earth therapy for adults navigating illness, overwhelm, change, anxiety, grief and trauma.

My work is relational and collaborative; I blend evidence-based approaches within a warm, grounded, human style. I pay attention to context, patterns, and the parts of you that don’t always get airtime.

Therapy with me is about making space for the full picture, learning how to meet yourself with more compassion and untangling patterns that are hard to shift on your own.

What you can expect with me

compassion

I work with compassion and respect for how complex people’s lives actually are. There’s room here for uncertainty, mixed feelings, and the parts of your story that don’t fit neatly.

metaphors

I use metaphors to think things through and understand your experience. They can give us a bit of distance, and with that, a new perspective.

humour

I take the work seriously, but not myself. There’s room here for seriousness and lightness. Sometimes humour helps loosen the grip of a problem or shift your viewpoint.

You might be here if…

You’re living with chronic pain/illness or cancer and want support that understands how deeply these experiences affect daily life

You’re managing anxiety, burnout, or ongoing stress and you’re still showing up, getting things done, and feeling exhausted underneath it all.

You’re a first responder or work in a role where urgency and responsibility never really switch off.

You’re at a point where something isn’t quite working anymore and something needs to shift.

My Approach

Many of the people I work with are used to carrying responsibility well; showing up, keeping things moving, and often putting their own needs aside.

In our work together, we slow the pace and pay attention to what’s happening so that we can respond with more intention. That might mean noticing long-standing patterns, working through a specific experience, or exploring past experiences.

Therapy doesn’t have to start with certainty.

If you’re curious about working together, reach out. We can take it from there.
